Orphaned references in List of conflicts in the Philippines
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of conflicts in the Philippines's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "Alvarez":
- From Battle of San Juan del Monte: Alvarez, S.V., 1992, Recalling the Revolution, Madison: Center for Southeast Asia Studies, University of Wisconsin-Madison, ISBN 9781881261056
- From Philippine Revolution: Alvarez 1992
- From Pact of Biak-na-Bato: Alvarez, S.V., 1992, Recalling the Revolution, Madison: Center for Southeast Asia Studies, University of Wisconsin-Madison, ISBN 1-881261-05-0
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 21:49, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
- I see
- the ref with the unsatisfied name= parameter was added in this edit by @Oneskies: in support of the addition of the name Antonio Zabala into the article in connection with Battle of Perez Dasmariñas. If the cite is to a book, I would hope to find a page number given in the cite.
- The Bibliography section of this article lists a work by an author named Alvarez. A Google Books link is provided which allows a text search in the book. However a search for zabala fails to find a match.
- The Recalling the Revolution book you mentioned is not previewable or searchable in google books.
- The article Battle of Perez Dasmariñas mentions Antonio Zabala, citing that Recalling the Revolution book. The book is cited at another point in the article with <ref name=Alverez>, and the full cite there specifies page 100.
- I have not copied the cite from that other article into this one to silence the error being thrown because I'm a bit unsure about the page number in connection with Zabala and am unable to verify it. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 23:24, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
Styling of table entries
[edit]I'm not a CSS maven -- is there a point to the style="background:#efefef"| stylings that appear in many table entries here? They were present in the initial article version.
