Table layout
[edit]This list (the first of the dramatic tv series lists) is a little different because there were so few series in the 1970s and 1980s, that creating a separate section for each individual year of the 70s and 80s didn't make sense; therefore, series for these two decades were listed together as a block under each decade. But this, in turn, made the placement of "Year" as the first column somewhat confusing (e.g. 1984 appeared before 1981 because CBS Schoolbreak Special [alpha "C"] premiered in 1984, and Dynasty [alpha "D"] premiered in 1981). So to mitigate any confusion, I changed the Year column to the last column. Now when a reader sees this list, the first detail they see is the name of a 1970s and 1980s series. To harmonize the entire list, the Year column in each section was also moved. Pyxis Solitary (yak). L not Q. 09:21, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
- Update to my above comment: on 26 February 2021, the article title was changed to begin with the "1960s". Pyxis Solitary (yak). L not Q. 16:27, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
Tatort entry is misleading
[edit]The German TV series Tatort isn't a single TV series, but rather a collection of feature films. They can be grouped into sub-series by detective teams most of the time, though. The problem is that all of the characters mentioned here weren't introduced in the 70s, but much later:
- Rubin and Karow first appeared in 2015.
- Flückinger and Ritschard first appeared in 2011.
- Grosz was introduced alongside Falke in 2016.
- Linda Selb has only been a minor character so far (since 2016).
I am not sure where to put this information instead, though.

- Hmm. That's a tricky one, Chaosflaws. The page for Torort says "Tatort ("Crime scene") is a German language police procedural television series that has been running continuously since 1970 with some 30 feature-length episodes per year, which makes it the longest-running German TV drama...When Tatort was developed as a series of weekly feature film-long local crime stories, the stated concept was used to distribute financial and organizational efforts...Apart from the unique joint-pooling system, the series is also characterised by the episode length of around 90 minutes, which allows for more in-depth and psychological fleshing out of the characters." So maybe it could go on List of feature films with LGBT characters too? It sounds like it a TV series, but also a collection of feature films? That article isn't the best sourced, but that's what I'm getting from it. Maybe adding a note that the characters appeared more recently, as you note, would be a good idea so people aren't confused in the process. Historyday01 (talk) 17:15, 4 May 2021 (UTC)
