This article should be deleted[edit]

There are so many reasons why this article should be deleted. I will stick to accuracy:

  1. Cathcart in NOT is East Renfrewshire
  2. Netherlee is NOT part of, or in Cathcart

Then why not move or merge? --MGA73 (talk) 19:40, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The list is referring to the civil parish of Cathcart. It appears this parish is now partly in the East Renfrewshire council area (and partly in Glasgow council area). And Netherlee is within the part of Cathcart parish that is in East Renfrewshire. See for example the old map here, which shows parish boundaries: [1]. I don't think Clarkston has ever been a parish has it? Its not listed here anyway List of civil parishes in Scotland. Though this article should be clearer as to what it is actually referring to.. --Vclaw (talk) 22:34, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Reading the entry that is listed, the building was built in the early 20th century after Cathcart was wholly in Glasgow and Netherlee was in Renfrewshire (now East Renfrewshire). In this case the ancient civil parish has no relevance, as it no longer existed at the time of construction. --Stewart (talk | edits) 18:37, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The civil parish was in use for administrative purposes until 1975. And it is still in use for some things, eg the census (or listed buildings). So the civil parish is relevant, as it is about the only type of 'official' subdivision within the current council areas. --Vclaw (talk) 21:36, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as having no substantive content, because it is a part of a set of lists. It is better to move or merge if name is not correct or the list is "too short". --MGA73 (talk) 19:46, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

{{db-nocontent}} also covers "consists only of external links". This article exists only to list external links. --Stewart (talk | edits) 20:18, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The article does not consist only of external links. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 20:27, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
In which case I am going to correct and move this ridiculous article so at least it is correct. --Stewart (talk | edits) 20:29, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
