I have created this page as the bare list of members on the original Middle Temple article was starting to dominate it and was in danger of becoming somewhat cumbersome.

Famous members struck me as a term which is apt to mislead. A person who is famous in one part of the world might not be famous in another. That is not to say that he or she is not worthy of note or attention.

I shall have a go at dividing between the living and the dead and those who are benchers and who are not. Informed Owl (talk) 15:07, 20 February 2010 (UTC)Informed Owl[reply]

For want of a better way of ordering them, I have divided the list into living members and deceased members. I do not propose the deletion of any individual at this stage. That said, a list such as this can never be complete or entirely objective, there being a wide spectrum of people who might be described as "of note".
If anyone is in the wrong list, then the mistake is mine and is borne out of inadvertence alone. I hope that I have checked every entry of those who I did not know for a fact to be living this morning to ensure accuracy!Informed Owl (talk) 11:32, 21 February 2010 (UTC)Informed Owl[reply]
