Mistake in Constance Maynard Section

[edit]

The page lists Constance Maynard as the first female mayor of Penarth. I am currently working with her papers and can tell you that this is a mistake; she had no connections with Penarth. After googling it would seem that there was a female politician called Constance Maillard connected with Penarth which may explain the confusion. The biography given is indeed that of Constance Maynard and her work with Westfield College, and so I would suggest this should be removed and the name corrected. Thank you, that entry has been puzzling me since it first appeared but I could not sort out the actual confusion. It was on my list of things to work on but you have saved me the effort. 21st CENTURY GREENSTUFF 15:16, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The image File:Hancock FRHS.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linyed to from the image description page.

Fair use rationale had not been altered when the picture was moved from Penarth to List of people associated with Penarth. The licence has now been corrected. 21stCenturyGreenstuff (talk) 01:34, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actor Denys Graham

[edit]

Can anyone come with any useful and correct info on Welsh film and TV actor Denys Graham? His date of birth is stated here as 1895 which would make him 104 years old and unlikely to be still alive, but photos of him in 1956 playing Fg Off Les (Dinghy) Young in the Dambusters film show him to be only in his late 20s or early 30s. He would be around 75 - 80 years old by now and this explains why no obituary can be found in an online search. None of his online biographies give any personal information...don't you just hate that. 21stCenturyGreenstuff (talk) 01:50, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
