Article scope, and various edits

[edit]

I've just done a few edits: removed links from headings, per WP convention, removed excessive redlinks per MOS:DABRED, replaced provincial parks list with a main template per WP:CONTENTFORK. Also remove bad links per WP:EASTER e.g. [[Abercrombie,_Nova_ScotiaAbercrombie|Abercrombie]] in the Provincial Wildlife Management Areas section. Also how about turning it into a sortable table? Alphabetical listing is less useful.

According to [https://novascotia.ca/parksandprotectedareas/pdf/Parks-Protected-Plan.pdf Our Parks and Protected Areas A Plan for Nova Scotia], protected areas include:

  • provincial parks (249)
  • wilderness areas (150)
  • nature reserves (176)

And other contributing properties:

  • National Park
  • National Wildlife Area
  • Land trust conservation easements

As for the section Provincial Protected Beaches it appears to be WP:OR and should be removed since there's no mention of beaches at the NS Protected Areas web page. So I'm not sure how this can be referenced.

The plan mentions Canadian Heritage Rivers but not National Migratory Bird Sanctuaries.

Among the three types mentioned above (provincial parks, wilderness areas, nature reserves, there are 782 individual sites. Since that would be too many for this list, I'm wondering how they could be constrained, or whether this list should subdivided and made into a list of lists. --Cornellier (talk) 02:07, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
