Untitled[edit]

I feel that the rumors about Big 12 schools finding another home in case the Big 12 dissolved are outdated and over two years old.

I similarly feel that the Mountain West members are no longer being speculated to join the Big East. These rumors are unsubstantiated, and I feel do not require display under the "Active" rumors section. The Big 12 members have all signed a grant of rights, meaning they will not be able to leave the Big 12 for 12 more years.

I suspect that only the ACC and Big East are vulnerable, but Air Force, Fresno State, UNLV are not going anywhere. Likewise with Boise State. I feel once any moves are officially announced, like the Big 12 Grant of Rights, then these rumors should be deleted, because they are no longer factual or possible. Then again, I have made mistakes in my knowledgeable editing before, because I am not familiar with Wikipedia's SuperUsers' control of content, so feel free to ban me if you don't like my revisions, and keep your pages "high and tight" as you see fit. ___________________

This list is hard to read now. I don't like the idea of mixing in every single NCAA conference change. I feel like it should be separated between D-I and non D-I. 184.99.106.215 (talk) 00:56, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Mods for shading gray the "old news" that has been superseded by current events. I am the original poster who tried to delete the Big 12 rumors because they were over two years old. However, I have not been on Wikipedia in over a year and I respectfully submit my resignation and appreciation to the Wikipedia family. Thank you Mods for doing a great job on the Conference Realignment Table. It is hard to read only because so many changes have taken place, but I feel that the sections labeled with "So-and-So" Conference are clear. As long as you know what you are looking for with a certain school or conference, you can hit "Ctrl+f" and find it.

Thanks again, and please feel free to unban or delete my previous "talk" page edit listed Above. My IP address confirms I am the Original poster. 99.6.45.4 (talk) 19:53, 1 May 2013 (UTC)Comet299[reply]

Hi, just a note to suggest adding Boston U, Binghamton, Drexel, and Hofstra moving their wrestling from the CAA to the EIWA, as seen at this link: http://thetriangle.org/2013/05/03/wrestling-plans-move-to-new-conference-in-13-14/ Disco316 (talk) 13:43, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Divide table or something?[edit]

I am wondering if we should be proceeding as we currently are. This started out primarily as a list of schools moving from one conference to another (or moving their football teams, which gets equivalent coverage; or moving their hockey teams which received an unusual level of coverage because of the extent of the rearrangement), but these momentous moves seem to be getting swamped by an endless litany of obscure single-sport changes that require delving into the depths of the internet to find, and risk turning the list into a massive WP:NOTNEWS violation. I don't know if there is a good way to refocus, as some of the minor moves are the direct fallout of the more major changes, but particularly as this window of major changes appears to be coming to an end (it has trickled all the way down to the SoCon and NJIT, although the New Big East is likely to ignite a fourth wave in the coming year that as a direct consequence of its formation can hardly be separated) we are in danger of overwhelming the increasingly small number of entire-school moves amid an ocean of single-sport noise that is more of the day-to-day variety of change.
