Gold skyscraper on Independence Boulevard

[edit]

There is an omission in this list. There is a tall office building on Independence Boulevard, known for its gold colored wiindows. It was there in the 1970s - my possibly wrong memory is that it was owned by Prudential. From the picture in Google Earth, it looks to be 24 stories tall. The conversion of Independence to a freeway has cut it off and the place appears to be completely vacant. The fact it is not in uptown would explain why it may have been overlooked. It is the combination of age and height that makes it potentially significant. 2602:304:AEB7:D70:64FD:E03A:93FF:D6D9 (talk) 03:13, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of tallest buildings in North Carolina's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Charlotte Business Journal":

  • From Duke Energy Center: Fahey, Ashley (15 July 2020). "RENDERINGS: Uptown tower to undergo overhaul as Wells Fargo set to leave big vacancy". Charlotte Business Journal. Retrieved 5 June 2021.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 05:53, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Inactive/abandoned projects

[edit]

This article is slowly becoming a list of what could have been instead of what's to come. Any project that has not had a status change within around three years from the current date should assume to be dead and thus removed. StatsFreak (talk) 06:15, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Buildings in Downtown Asheville

[edit]

This article fails to mention any buildings in Asheville. Buildings that potentially could be included are the Buncombe County Courthouse and The Arras. Jkrobiso (talk) 00:54, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the suggestion, both have been added. City Dweller 2 (talk) 18:44, 21 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hotel Kinston, NC

[edit]

The Hotel Kinston in Kinston NC is 11 stories high . 220ft which is taller then some on your list but is not on the list at all. Rstanley5352 (talk) 02:57, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I see the Wikipedia article for it. However, I cannot find any source that references its height. If you have can find a source with the height of 220 feet, please reply with it. City Dweller 2 (talk) 20:11, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
