Gala Gradiva?

[edit]

This sculpture is missing from the list, although there is a photo of it here:

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Dal%C3%AD._GalaGradiva.JPG

The work was also missing from its plinth in Marbella when I was there today, hope it hadn't been stolen...

Error

[edit]

"Persistence of Memory" is given as 1941 as well as 1931. I am not aware that two versions were done? Haven't removed it, as this will muck up all the numbering - maybe someone can delete it from 1941 and re-number automatically? I don't know how. 86.185.234.196 (talk) 18:15, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Omelette -- Dali.jpeg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Omelette -- Dali.jpeg, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 3 December 2011

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

Reliability

[edit]

Great page but on glancing through I have already spotted two mistakes (namely, The Great Masturbator being listed twice, 1929 and 1930) and the omelette drawing listed as a painting.

The question is, is there a reliable source for the list, which it can be compared to? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.157.32.165 (talk) 00:23, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Double entry

[edit]

Morphological Echo is listed twice (after eachother) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.30.34.17 (talk) 11:31, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's because there are two paintings named Morphological Echo, both from 1936. It's explained in its article. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 13:09, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling of Committee

[edit]

March of Time Committee was misspelled so I corrected it but someone has put sic in a comment in the edit window so I have added two refs in support. If anyone wants to change it back they should provide an alternative source at least as good as Christie's! Jodosma (talk) 12:08, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Ship with butterfly"

[edit]

Gret page! IMHO, this oil painting from 1937 is not on the list?
