I cannot be more specific, but during the 1940s (probably earlier too) route 73 ran from wherever through Richmond to Twickenham where it took a sharp bend from York Street to London Road (the footpath was narrower then and there was a triangular island south of the roadway the 73 took) and then it went on to Hounslow. Did the 73 lose this part of its route beyond Richmond when trolleybus route 601, which turned round in the width of King Street, was replaced by motorbus 281 which carried on to Hounslow?

[edit]I was watching Carry On Matron and they have an argument about the route vs the 116. Given experience on Wikipedia, (1) should we add it (2) is there a better place (3) shall we start e usual argument about what to include or not —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.103.12.173 (talk) 23:44, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- I came here expecting the same - The Screwtape Letters also refers to 73 in the context of a person working at the British Library. Deryck C. 13:30, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
