Signal Mountain View
[edit]There's no way this photo listed as "View of Lookout Mountain from Signal Mountain" is actually from Signal Mountain. It's way too far west to be true. This looks more accurately like the view from Racoon or Elder mountain, which are both connected to Signal Mountain.
- I took the photo, and indeed it is from Signal Mountain, taken from East Brow Road shortly after the name change from Palisades, in a car pull off. Keegantalk 06:14, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Mnt. location in AL wrong?
[edit]"Nearly 75% of Lookout Mountain is situated within Alabama" Looking at a basic map or even Google Earth and you can see almost none of Lookout Mountain is in AL. The vast majority is in GA with a part in TN and then a small region may be in AL. Coinmanj (talk) 23:21, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
I checked 100K topographic mapping and find that a considerable part of the mountain does extend into NE Alabama, but not as much as 75%.Viewfinder (talk) 22:04, 31 March 2012/2013 (UTC)
Article title
[edit]Why is "Lookout Mountain" an article on a specific mountain in Georgia? According to GNIS there are 118 places in the US that are named "Lookout Mountain." This article for the given text should be titled "Lookout Mountain (Georgia)" while "Lookout Mountain" should be the disambiguation page not "Lookout Mountain (disambiguation)." [edit]M. L. King, Jr.'s 1963 March on Washington speech famously mentions it. That should be added.211.225.33.104 (talk) 08:17, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

Seven States visibility claim
[edit]Following a tip-off by a U.S. contact about a decade ago, I investigated this claim and found it to be fiction, see my site at [1]. Unfortunately this is my site so I cannot add it as a citation. Viewfinder (talk) 17:23, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
