Birth name "Kenny Beats"
[edit]I have no source to confirm or deny that one of the members of this duo's birth/legal name is Kenny Beats, but it seems highly improbable for a person whose profession is making beats to have the surname "Beats". Elijah (talk) 19:29, 17 October 2018 (UTC)
Also, this is a broken up duo, not an active solo artist. I just don't know the name of the other member, so I don't feel like I have the authority to make the relevant changes. Elijah (talk) 19:31, 17 October 2018 (UTC)
New page for Kenny Beats
[edit]I don't think Kenny Beats should redirect here. Kenny Beats has moved to several pretty large new projects since leaving LOUDPVCK, and this page makes that confusing. Rmehtany (talk) 02:06, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
- I agree, Loudpvck is a duo, kenny beats is a seperate project. This page either needs to be renamed to Kenny Beats and talk about Loudpvck in his early career, or have kenny beats as a seperate page. AM Woody (talk) 02:32, 31 March 2019 (UTC)
Requested move 25 April 2019
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: No consensus to move. As Born2cycle pointed out, if the article is about a former duo, then it would not be appropriate to move it to an article about one member of that duo. If Kenny Beats / Kenneth Blume III is notable in his own right (see WP:SINGER) then a new article could possibly be started there. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:40, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
Loudpvck → Kenny Beats – Kenny Beats is more well known at this stage, having several collaborations and producing for well known artists such as Vince Staples, and Jpegmafia. He has just released an album alongside Rico Nasty under the 'Kenny Beats' moniker. Further, Loudpvck is a group turned solo project, not Kenny's professional name, and so the naming of this page is currently misleading. AM Woody (talk) 19:25, 25 April 2019 (UTC)--Relisting. -- Dane talk 01:05, 4 May 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose I don't see any evidence supporting the nom's claim that Kenny Beats is more well known now. All the references in the article refer to Loudpvck, not to Kenny Beats. This article appears to be about the duo called Loudpvck, and is therefore appropriately named. Whether Kenny Beats is even notable as a solo is unclear. --В²C ☎ 20:49, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
- Agree Kenny Beats as a solo producer is much more successful and well known now than Loudpvck ever was (some google search trends to supplement it), And to Born2cycle's point, I feel as if there's some confusion on how much of his solo work to be placed on hear if the title is referring to the duo. His work as Loudpvck should be listed as a subsection of this article, apart from Kenny's personal discography. ⠀TOMÁSTOMÁSTOMÁS⠀TALK⠀ 17:22, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
