"He returned to illustrating mushrooms in 1918 when he returned to Baltimore to work for the noted gynecologist Howard A. Kelly." At first I thought that either a typo or vandalism had caused "mycologist" to be changed to "gynecologist." However, the linked article identifies Howard A. Kelly as an eminent gynecologist. Does anyone know why a gynecologist would employ someone to draw mushrooms? Was Krieger doing medical illustrations for Kelly and resumed drawing mushrooms during the same period as a hobby or second job? Unless there is a connection between gynecology and mushrooms of which I am not aware, there is something intriguing (or incorrect) going on here. Gms3591 (talk) 07:01, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
