Quality Issues

[edit]

Please consider the following problems:

  • None of the article's refrences are in English.
  • Also WP:BLP mandates that facts be checked or removed.
  • So far this does not look like a notable person.
  • If however she is notable - you should be able to provide some English language source.
  • Accordingly please provide indicators of notability in English.
  • Also brief inline translations in the refrences to show that the facts are indeed supported.

The alternative are to immediatly remove any facts that cannot be checked and/or nominate the article for deletion. Thanks. BO; talk 17:35, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

According to Wikipedia:NOENG:

Because this is the English Wikipedia, English-language sources are preferred over non-English ones, assuming English sources of equal quality and relevance are available.

  • When quoting a source in a different language, provide the original text and an English translation, either in the body of the article or in a footnote.
  • When citing a non-English source for information, it is not always necessary to provide a translation. However, if a question should arise as to whether the non-English original actually supports the information, relevant portions of the original and a translation should be given in a footnote, as a courtesy.

So, non-English sources are allowed in the English-language Wikipedia. I added brief inline translations of all the references showing that all the facts are supported. And Lua Blanco, who is the subject of this article, is notable, there is no need for English sources to prove her notability. Regards, --Carioca (talk) 20:43, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Style Revisions

[edit]

After reading the Lua Blanco article, I noticed the following that can be revised throughout the article:

  • Incomplete sentences lingering in the introduction.
  • Organization relevancy. For example, including the information about Lua Blanco's father
  • The article seems to have some translation issues that affect its grammar
  • There are some sentences that seem to go on for a long time. They're not exactly wordy but they pack a lot of facts into one sentence.

At this point, my recommendations for the article lead me to think about reorganizing the introduction to create a clear and concise description of Lua Blanco. I intend to move facts from the introduction to the relevant sections of the article. Grammar will be a priority because of the possible translation errors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Natt1995 (talkcontribs) 15:13, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
