Can an impartial reviewer look at M. David Rudd and provide feedback to me if any changes or needed or remove the maintenance template if the article is approved? Thank you!
Hrowsey (talk) 14:41, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Hrowsey: You appear to be the COI editor, so the first step is for you to refrain from editing the page yourself. You’ve posted a COI notice here, so that’s a good first step. I reviewed the article and it needs attention on WP:NOTEVERYTHING, WP:DUE, and WP:PUFFERY as well as the NPOV concerns already raised. An independent editor would need to revise the article on those concerns, then discuss here on the talk page whether the maintenance template should be removed. Hi @Hrowsey:. @Go4thProsper: beat me to the response, and I agree with what they say above. I went through the article and removed lots of my concerns, including promotional language, non-notable achievements of the university (and not Rudd) and redundant language. If you think anything should be added to the article, please open another request by following the instructions here: Template:Request edit/Instructions I also suggest looking at MOS:BIO for ideas on writing a biography on Wikipedia. I am also concerned about the number of primary sources in this article. I recommend that you search for news articles about this person and add WP:SECONDARY sources to the article. Please respond below if you have any questions or concerns, and I am going to close this ticket. Z1720 (talk) 19:18, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Checking back on this, many of the same issues remain and have not been corrected. Interested editors are encouraged to review the article and make non-COI edits. Go4thProsper (talk) 17:37, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
