The result of the move request was: moved. Seems reasonable despite the COI, no objections in over a week. Jenks24 (talk) 02:03, 25 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Majete Game ReserveMajete Wildlife Reserve – There are some sources that use "Majete Game Reserve", but "Majete Wildlife Reserve" is used much more often in secondary sourcing, and by African Parks, the nonprofit conservation organization managing the reserve.

Here is a link to the reserve's page on African Parks' website, and following are appearances of the name in news and journal sources: The Australian, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, Mongabay, National Geographic, The Washington Post, etc. In terms of search engine results, searching "Majete Game Reserve" at Google yields 8,740 results, and searching "Majete Wildlife Reserve" yields 28,000 results. "Majete Game Reserve" should redirect users to the "Majete Wildlife Reserve" article.

Full disclosure: I am submitting this request on behalf of African Parks via the Wyss Foundation, and as part of my work at Beutler Ink. This is part of a series of requests to create and expand several Wikipedia articles related to African Parks, and the third move request, following the successful moves of the African Parks and Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve articles (see Talk:African Parks and Talk:Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve). You can learn more about this ongoing project here: User:Inkian Jason/African Parks. Thanks! Inkian Jason (talk) 20:40, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Expanded and updated draft

[edit]
Resolved

On behalf of African Parks via the Wyss Foundation, and as part of my work at Beutler Ink, I am submitting an expanded and updated draft of this article for community review. You can view my proposed draft here.

The current article is entirely unsourced, and at risk of being deleted even though the topic is notable (see The Telegraph, The Independent, The Guardian, etc). I've worked to create an accurate, neutral, and appropriately sourced overview of the park, including its geography, history, wildlife, and tourism, similar to articles for other parks. All the sources used to create the draft are reliable, and African Parks has provided feedback to ensure accuracy.

I seek uninvolved editors to review the draft for accuracy and neutrality, and hope they'll conclude that the proposed draft is a vast improvement over the existing unsourced stub. @Cwmhiraeth: I don't want to overwhelm any single editor, but you've been very helpful and seem to enjoy reviewing my proposed drafts related to Africa's national parks. I'm wondering if you'd be interested in helping to implement this draft as well. Again, if you're busy elsewhere I totally understand and can look for other help, but I wanted to give you the option to take a look first, if you'd like.

As a reminder, this edit request is part of a series to create and expand several Wikipedia articles related to African Parks. You can learn more here: User:Inkian Jason/African Parks. Thank you. Inkian Jason (talk) 15:16, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Cwmhiraeth: Thank you for reviewing the proposed draft, and updating the article. I appreciate your help. By the way, I've added Template:Image requested to this talk page. If you don't object, I'll remove Majete from this page and this page, since the article is no longer a stub. Inkian Jason (talk) 15:32, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Those actions are fine. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:26, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Cwmhiraeth: Thanks for confirming. I will remove them now and reference this talk page in the edit summary. Inkian Jason (talk) 19:21, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
