Why was the following clause:

that Muslims have a legitimate grievance against the West; that we, the West, dominate for oil and geo-political advantage while preaching about democracy

removed [1] from the quoted statement by Burstein in the Edinburgh programme notes? Was it not actually in the programme notes? If it was, then the block quote needs to indicate that a line is missing by the use of [...]. Voceditenore (talk) 18:14, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've added the ellipsis. Dann Chinn (talk) 12:07, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs a major clean-up

[edit]
  1. There are way too many quotes from the composer, librettist, and director, most of which are highly repetitive and sourced not to the original publication but to the librettist's web site and/or blogs.
  2. The lead section is highly repetitive and does not adhere to a neutral point of view. Nor is it an accurate summary of the article.
  3. The referencing format is very poor and also inconsistent.

In subsequent days this article may be further edited to remove the problems outlined above. This article is also the subject of a discussion at Wikiproject Opera [2]. Voceditenore (talk) 08:43, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Have started to address this by judiciously trimming hype, reorganising quotes (for relevance and readability) and looking up more detail on original sources. - Dann Chinn (talk) 13:43, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Manifest Destiny (opera). Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).
