I'm trying to make this page better but someone keeps deleting whatever I save. =/ chill out.

I re-added the info. Sorry about that. --Khoikhoi 05:54, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-lol, that's okay. I'll work more on this tomorrow. what else do you think should be added to the article?

Teardrops 07:16, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it looks like you should start moving some of the info over to Mansehra District instead of adding to this one. Once you've done that, I suggest having this article be about the town of Mansehra, not the district. Good job by the way! --Khoikhoi 07:33, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, I suggest you ask permission to use the image so we don't have a copyright problem. Thanks. --Khoikhoi 07:35, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
yeah you're right I should ask for permission on the website.. and yeah I'm still exploring not very experience with this. I didn't realize there was another Mansehra page. I'll move all the info there and start editing. btw are you from Mansehra =)

No I'm from America. The picture makes me want to go there though. :) --Khoikhoi 00:03, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I meant that are you originally from Mansehra. I'm also in the states, but I'm originally fom Mansehra. Are you Pashtun? =) 68.227.203.215
No, I'm white. My family is from California. ;) --Khoikhoi 02:03, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I thought you were Pashtun, cause "Khoi" is a Pashto word =) I moved the article, I hope I did it right.
It is? What does it mean? I got my name from the Khoikhoi people of South Africa. --Khoikhoi 06:14, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:M1.gif

[edit]

Image:M1.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Nogazi a mohallah in Mansehra pakistan

[edit]

Nogazi is named so because there is a 9 yard grave here. (NO means 9 in hindko and Gazi means yards) so this is one of the most historic place here..

Further Tameeri nau public school has got first position among girls in SSC exams 2007. "Bushra khalid a student of tameeri nau public school mansehra stood first" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.71.213.127 (talk) 05:33, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The image File:100px-Pk-punj.PNG is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

References and sections

[edit]

I must point out that firstly, this article contains too few relevant references, and that in addition, these arent well-spread out or balanced, since the 'History' section is especially too long and mostly unnecessary; and all other sections seem just appendages to it. It would probably be better to drastically reduce this or at least reduce a bit and divide the rest into sub-sections. I would also like to point out that at the end of the History section there seems to be an advertisement for some school inserted. Please check and remove. Thank you. Self promotion

[edit]

I dont know what the problem is with so many users/editors from Pakistan, that they keep adding sections and whole portions for self-promotion and /or tribal vanity etc etc. I have just removed a big chunk and would request people again please dont mess up articles with these type of entries, these too without any reliable refs. If you want to promote yourself, your family, relatives, clan, tribe etc , please make your own website or open a Page on Facebook or something. This isnt the right forum. This is supposed to be an encyclopedia of knowledge. Thanks. AsadUK200 (talk) 13:15, 13 April 2016 (UTC)AsadUK200[reply]

Someone reverted my edit (see above) but Ive now left a note on the editor's page and am again going to remove the said material which is almost entirely false and has no historical or factual basis at all. Thanks. AsadUK200 (talk) 12:35, 14 April 2016 (UTC)AsadUK200[reply]
By the way, I have also removed several references to a site called pakistancities.com, which is NOT at all a reliable source of references as per Wikipedia standards. This is actually a touristic site run by tour operators and commercial interests, with the involvement of ignorant locals in various localities and they just about add anything as 'history'- of which over 90% is generally false or not borne out by historical facts. Some people (local clans, tribes etc) have gone so far as to make up entirely fictitious accounts and uploaded them to this site. I would strongly suggest that this site, like several others, be declared as unreliable/fake here on Wikipedia. ThanksAsadUK200 (talk) 12:49, 14 April 2016 (UTC)AsadUK200[reply]
