Marcos Sennas was born in São Paulo, instead of Rio de Janeiro. Carloseduardo 11:59, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Matthew, unfortunately, the Spanish site is wrong. All the other football sites say the opposite. Check this UOL profile, for instance. And Yahoo Sports, Eurosport etc all say the right info (São Paulo). Actually, the affirmation that he was born in Rio is far innacurate, you just have to look at the clubs he played since his childhood, their´re all from the São Paulo area. I live 400 km from São Paulo, and he played for my club in 99-00. best regards, Carloseduardo 11:13, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just read from uefa.com and http://www.lfp.es but i don't understand:
Rio Branco FC is in Andradas
Americano Futebol Clube is in Rio de Janeiro
Later he join S.C. Corinthians of São Paulo. Matt86hk talk 20:16, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Related?

[edit]

Would be interesting to investigate if he's related to Ayrton Senna da Silva, the legendary Formula One driver. User:89.98.95.206 16:09, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Quality

[edit]

This page is very poorly written. The grammar and style are awful. Someone with better editing skills than myself should revise it.66.65.190.74 (talk) 19:19, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Analysts on Senna's Euro 2008 performance

[edit]

We have a number of analysts/journalists from major sources saying that they think Senna was the best player of the Euro 2008 tournament. That's a big deal. Saying that it's "Poorly written and not wikified" is completely irrelevant. You don't remove it completely because of that. And it's irrelevant if they are called analysts or journalists. The issue isn't whether it's an acheivement, but whether it's notable and I certainly think it is. No relevant reason has been given for why it's not. However, we can leave that up for others to decide. - Maximusveritas (talk) 15:30, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They are not analysts, an analyst is someone who gets to a decision based on facts and figures, not based on personal opinions. Martin O'Neill was a pundit, he is credible as he has successfully managed at a high level. If we noted every single journo's opinion from a "major" media outlet it'd be ridiculous. --Jimbo[online] 16:39, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But I'm not trying to note every single journo's opinion. I'm trying to note a single opinion (that Senna was the best player of the tourney) that was held by multiple people from major media outlets. That meets any standard of notability. If we only included the opinions of those who had certain qualifications, it's be equally ridiculous. - Maximusveritas (talk) 00:36, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
