Notability[edit]

With reference to WP:ACADEMIC, Margaret Adebisi Sowunmi was a Professor at the University of Ibadan, has received an honorary doctorate from Uppsala University and is credited with establishing the discipline of environmental archaeology and palynology in Nigeria. She has served as president of the West African Archaeological Association (criteria 6). The chapter in the Encyclopedia of Global Archaeology is an independent source.
