I believe newspapers are always notable, every tiny newspaper has an article on here. It is an encyclopedic topic you would expect on an encyclopedia which is not on paper.CholgatalK! 01:22, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

No. You are wrong, not every newspaper is notable. I have nominated the article to Article for deletion. So discuss your point there. Chris! my talk 23:10, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

hot-tubber incident[edit]

I have a hard time believing that the quote/letter attributed to President Bush here is accurate, or that it isn't, at the very least, taken out of context. It would be nice to have a link to the actual letter, rather than the quote taken from the Guardian. The Guardian, as an alternatively weekly newspaper, is probably known for irreverent writing and would have no reason not to use a quote out of context, for comedic effect or what-not. Allegations of bias[edit]

Some people of San Rafael say the newspaper is biased against them. Is there truth to this? --ÆAUSSIEevilÆ 22:53, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Depends on which people. Unfortunately, the talk page guidelines, as I understand them, prohibit serious discussion of this topic. Jusdafax (talk) 07:25, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

'Recent' Awards?[edit]

Is 2008 still 'recent'? I suggest the section be renamed and edited. Any objections? Jusdafax 08:13, 6 October 2012 (UTC)

good idea, or delete it altogether as such a thing is hardly notable, unless we are talking Pulitzers or the like (talk) 05:01, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

  • I got rid of the 'recent' per above. I hesitate to hack away at the section without a bit more consensus here. Nevertheless, the section seems to dominate the article in an unbalanced way. Jusdafax 23:10, 27 December 2014 (UTC)

'hot-tubber incident': history?[edit]

People's feelings about its existence aside, I have a hard time believing that it belongs as a sub-heading of History. There has to be a better heading to put it under. I don't believe it to be a historic incident for the paper as a whole. Does anyone agree? 1980fast (talk) 08:06, 19 June 2015 (UTC)

Well, the ex-president of the U.S. bashed Marin County, then wrote the paper a letter of apology after the paper ran numerous letters of complaint. Where would you put the information, if not where it is now? Jusdafax 08:26, 29 June 2015 (UTC)
