T shirt[edit]

21 French Victories on the Marinière[edit]

Some sources believe the 21 stripes on the Marinière/Breton shirt are for 21 French Naval victories in the Napoleonic Wars. (https://www.heddels.com/2018/06/breton-stripes-frances-horizontal-contribution-workwear/) Is there any truth to this? Foofbun (talk) 12:05, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
