Disputed Death Date
[edit]I am a surviving descendant of Mark, and I dispute the death date here. I believe he expired on the calendar day previous to what is stated (15th rather than 16th). I have contacted news agencies to help correct this information, but I want to record the dispute here as well. If someone could help me tag the article appropriately, that would be appreciated. I would have updated the death date myself were it previously certain and published. otac0n (talk) 05:44, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
- I have gotten a correction from KWCH:
- https://www.kwch.com/2023/05/17/kansas-abortion-opponent-dies-nebraska-plane-crash/ otac0n (talk) 05:48, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
- I have requested corrections from the Wichita Eagle and the Wichita Business Journal, as well as posted a correction in the replies to the Facebook post. I have removed the inaccurate information, and added a correct DOB. I'm unsure where the line is drawn on "original information" on Wikipedia, but I will be publishing an obituary when I have the correct information. otac0n (talk) 06:41, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
- Source: "found" in the afternoon. https://holtindependent.com/pages/Plane-Crash-a27928.html otac0n (talk) 06:54, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
- I have now updated the death section with accurate, cited sources about the crash date and time of death. otac0n (talk) 03:20, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
