Resembles advertising, is unsourced

[edit]

"Yellow Pages"-style information has been added to the lead section contrary to WP:NOTDIRECTORY: "Contact information such as phone numbers, fax numbers and e-mail addresses are not encyclopedic." And the information is unsourced, therefore could be spurious. A reliable published source is required per WP:PROVEIT. Ewulp (talk) 02:29, 24 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

3O Response: You are right, but this is not a matter for a third opinion, since there is no discussion here. I think WP:NOTDIRECTORY is more relevant than WP:PROVEIT, since the details shouldn't be included at all, per the former. As the spammer is somewhat persistent, you might consider requesting semiprotection. Regards, Stfg (talk) 10:56, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

So how does he survive ?

[edit]

So where does his income come from ? How does he survive ? Where does he get the time and materials to create these forgeries and travel around ? You can't do these things with no money. This article needs to discuss these things. Rcbutcher (talk) 13:41, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you watch the documentary on him, he appears to live a fairly simple life and what we see of his work process doesn't seem to be terribly complex or requiring terribly high quality materials. (For example if he was using all period appropriate materials, I would suspect that acquisition of those would be high cost, but he doesn't seem to take that approach.) He's just extremely skilled at what he does, and people don't put in the due dilligence to detect his fakes. The article also says that he has produced some original works which have been sold. We can extrapolate and assume some possibilities of how he earns a living or has the resources to survive, but short of reliable sources it's just speculation. he states he received diagnoses of paranoid schizophrenia, catatonic, and others, at psychiatric hospitals after a nervous breakdown. he visits his psychiatrist, who asks about his current medication, geodon.I think that answers the question about his income (disability), though we cant say it in the article. one of his "persecutors" wants him either in jail OR in hospital. we could mention these facts from the movie, including living at one time in a group home and having a caseworker.(mercurywoodrose)2602:304:CFD0:6350:FD07:3207:9E18:782A (talk) 05:43, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
