Info Box removal[edit]

Last week editor Nyttend moved the picture of Mayfield from a National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) info box that had been added by GcSwRhIc in October. Nyttend indicated that the move was due to an uncertainty as to whether the homes in the picture were in the registered district. Nyttend pointed out to me that the register of historic places had a clear definition of the specific streets in Mayfield that had been so designated and that the NRHP did not include all of Mayfield. The fact of the matter is that the article was created about the neighborhood, not the registery, so the question is should the info box even be in this article or should it have its own article?«Marylandstater» «reply» 13:39, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The house in the center of the photo in question is 2402 Lake Avenue. It lies in the heart of Mayfield and the Mayfield Historic District (the boundaries are nearly identical). It is a contributing property as it is one of the “later tract houses and masonry duplexes dating from c. 1920-1945.” Please read the description of the district at the Maryland Historical Trust. Keeping the NRHP templet box in the article falls in line with other Baltimore neighborhoods. GcSwRhIc (talk) 18:25, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
