[edit]It's still early yet, but I wonder how McCormick & Co. will fair after Hurricane Katrina, especially in regards to Zatarain's. Mangiraikos 06:03, 13 February 2007 (UTC) It seems that a lot the links related McCormick are dead. By saying links, I mean external links. -hja-
Verifications of the Chinese BUs are required...
[edit]Based on the following....

- What is based on these links? Why does it need "verification"? And what is "BU"? Astronaut (talk) 10:34, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
- Ask User:Astronaut who revert my this edition
- I bet he will tell you the reason

- How will I, Astronaut, know the answers to my own questions? Just because I reverted some of your edit, doesn't automatically mean I know the answers to my own questions.
- What I want to know is why you add things like this - add something to the article, then drop a strange comment on the talk page like the above. You start with a sentence fragment like "based on the following" without explaining what is based on; you use abbreviations like "BU" like everyone is supposed to know what you mean; and you add links (usually to pages in Chinese) and ask for "verification" like we are supposed to know what you mean by verification. Can I suggest you read some of Wikipedia's editing guidelines and policies - such as Wikipedia:Citing sources (particularly the part on "Non-English sources"). Why is this page not capable of Undo....????

Similar one as discussed at.....

- Where multiple edits affect the same parts, you cannot simply undo. The algorithm that detects the multiple edits seems a littly buggy though. Astronaut (talk) 02:28, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Change of headquarters location
[edit]The article says McCormick's headquarters is in Sparks, Maryland. I checked and my McCormick spices say that the company is located in Hunt Valley, Maryland. I found an article which says McCormick was set to move its headquarters two miles from Sparks to Hunt Valley this summer, so it would appear the move has already taken place. I found this article which reports this: http://www.baltimoresun.com/business/bs-bz-mccormick-headquarters-move-20180328-story.html . Dwight Burdette (talk) 22:24, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info. I've updated the article accordingly. There's mention of a grand opening in October, when I expect new sources may be available to confirm the move's completion. —ADavidB 04:50, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
Info for inclusion
[edit]Not much of an editor, but I suspect the info at https://www.jhunewsletter.com/article/2013/11/old-bay-seasoning-bears-its-jewish-roots-86480/ could add some material to the article about the history of the company. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:8090:707:C900:49B:7B60:5324:DF61 (talk) 12:13, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
- I would hesitate to rely on that article for any information about McCormick & Co. It's a student paper that uncritically repeats claims made by the speaker who is repeating stories told to him by his father about events nearly a century ago. Schazjmd (talk) 15:35, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
