Review
[edit]Hello. I saw the request for review, and have made some edits to the page. I have two additional broad comments. One is to make sure that you have not copied material word-for-word from any copyrighted source. The other is to note that, as a matter of policy, Wikipedia articles must not contain any medical advice. --Tryptofish (talk) 20:26, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
References need to be consistently formatted using the cite template [1] Text should also be written in prose rather than point form. The article uses terms like "physician may recommend". Facts supported by appropriate refs should just be stated. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 21:11, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
First of all let me say that the article is informative and generally quite OK, although there is lot that can be done to make it even better. More use of references would be a great improvement: prevention, treatment and epidemiology almost completely unsourced. It would also be great to have an infobox in the lead and a history section. As partly pointed in comments above addressing readers is not encyclopedic: e.g: about the risks involved in hurting your wrist and hand. Such expressions should be reworded. Treatment section is a bit opaque for lay readers: it could be improved with more wikilinks and short explanations on the most difficult terms. More images would be great. I have also noticed that the image of the ape hand was uploaded to commons by one of the editors: a higher quality upload of the image would be much better (no size problems in commons). I hope it helps... Bests. --Garrondo (talk) 07:56, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

- Looking at WP:MEDRS eMedicine is covered by "Peer-reviewed medical information resources such as WebMD, UpToDate, and eMedicine are usually acceptable sources for uncontroversial information; however, as much as possible Wikipedia articles should cite the more established literature directly." I would avoid the youtube one. It may be acceptable as it appears to be produced by a valid medical faculty but you'll likely be able to find something more appropriate without too much trouble. If you don't have access to anything more appropriate you can probably use it for now. PriceDL (talk) 16:38, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
