Birth?

[edit]

According to FreeBMD, the births of two people named Melvyn Mason were registered from 1944 to 1955, i.e. corresponding with a 1970 to 1984 playing career, in the West Riding of Yorkshire, they are; Melvyn B. Mason (mother's maiden name Braithwaite) birth registered October→December 1949 in Dewsbury district, and Melvyn C. Mason (mother's maiden name Havelka) birth registered January→March 1955 in Leeds district. According to marklaspalmas.blogspot.co.uk, Mel Mason was a teenager when he made his début for Featherstone Rovers in October 1970, according to the dates of birth identified on FreeBMD, Melvyn C. would have been 21 in October 1970, i.e. not a teenager, whereas Melvyn C. would have been 15 in October 1970, i.e. probably too young to play 1st-tean Rugby, are either of these Mel Mason?
