Legal rights on Aska[edit]

Does Mirage hold the rights for the TMNT:TF character Aska?

Aska has only appeared in the videogame, so I'm assuming that Konami holds the rights. --Ninjakid 09:41, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gutwallow[edit]

I own a few issues of this series, and I'm certain that it was never published under Mirage. I'll have to dig up the issues to verify this. --Ninjakid 09:42, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bankruptcy?[edit]

I seem to recall that they went out of business or bankrupt and that's why TMNT Volume 2 ended and Volume 3 was done by Image. Any further info on what happened would be appreciated. Evan1975 02:07, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They didn't go bankrupt. They just decided it would be cheaper to stop self-publishing, and they had ties to Image thanks to the Turtles' crossovers with Erik Larsen's Savage Dragon (whereas Usagi Yojimbo went from Mirage to Dark Horse. This was right around the time other self-published titles like Strangers in Paradise, Bone, and A Distant Soil moved to Image temporarily to survive the comic speculation boom and bust and the distributor wars. TMNT owned by Viacom now[edit]

The purchase of the TMNT by Viacom took all rights and ownership away from Mirage, except for the ability to publish 18 comics per year. This would include the domain name ninjaturtles.com, which now has an ad on it about the upcoming show from Nickelodeon. Should the link to this site be removed from the Mirage Studios page? --Iwriteforme (talk) 22:48, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
