Copyvio

[edit]

Most of the current version of the article is a copy-paste from: https://archive.org/stream/dli.csl.3954/3954.repaired.cairo_djvu.txt. The remaining substantive content is an unattributed copy-paste of content from the following Wikipedia article: Suremphaa (which, if attributed, probably would not justify a stand-alone article). Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... (your reason here) --~~With due respect I don't consider it to be deleted as I have taken most of the references from the tungkhungia buranji not from other websites.page 63-67...And please give me time for correcting my mistake

Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... (your reason here) --Jonardondishant (talk) 17:21, 2 March 2022 (UTC) With respect can I ask that which parts were under the criteria for speedy deletion, So I can correct my mistake.I also ask for some time to correct the mistake[reply]

  • Everything under the heading Moamoria rebellion appears to be a direct copy-paste or a close paraphrase from here: [1] and is therefore a copyright violation.
  • Everything under the heading Ineligible for kingship is a direct copy-paste or a close paraphrase from the article Suremphaa and is unattributed. Even if attributed, there doesn't seem a justification to create a new article that is that just a copy of a section from the other article.

Therefore, there is really not much left. Maybe if the copyright content is deleted from the history of the article, we could turn this into a redirect, but I don't see what else can be done. Singularity42 (talk) 17:27, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This requires deletion. Maybe we should work on the already present Draft:Mohanmala Gohain to bring it up to standard? But still, I see notability issue with a standalone article. Chaipau (talk) 20:22, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Chaipau ok.... leaving this topic...can you help me make a Article about the battle of Samdhara as there is no wiki article about it....I also want to make a wiki article about foreign relations of ahom kingdom — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonardondishant (talkcontribs) 13:35, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The original copyrighted material has been removed, leaving just the material that was copy-pasted from Suremphaa. Given my observations above, it is clear that there is nothing new being added by this article that isn't already covered at Suremphaa. Therefore, I have now changed this to a redirect. @Singularity42: The only issue I see is that these are two different persons. One was a king and the other wasn't. So I am not sure the redirect is entirely accurate. It might be better to delete this article and evaluate whether Draft:Mohanmala Gohain passes the notability test when it becomes mature enough. Chaipau (talk) 15:19, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Any deletion would have to be done via AfD. I can't see a CSD category applying, and I'm guessing the author will dispute a PROD. I'm happy to revert my redirect and take it to AfD to see what the consensus is (I'm also fine if you want to do that). Singularity42 (talk) 15:23, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@who ever did that's a childish answer to say that everything has been covered in a few words about someone's life.... And I say this again that I had already deleted the part of Rajewar Singha and expressed with my own words...... However that you already deleted that so what can I do....I am writing this article again and will give proper sources and references — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonardondishant (talkcontribs) 16:06, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
