In aerospace engineering, MOLA is very well known as the Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter, an instrument on board the Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) spacecraft, which collected altimetry data that is being used to construct a precise topographic map of Mars. Seen the importance of this other meaning of the term MOLA, I reckon it is opportune to introduce a disambiguation page. |
