Early problems

[edit]

Section two is a copyvio, based on the Google translation of ref 7, [1]. which has a paragraph reading "After we received great moral support from colleagues in the profession and from the association to complete the project, my first priority was for the project to be completed without imposing any fees on the participants or students, and for the school to provide its services for free to all, to be a non-profit academic cultural school. Immediately after the conference, I submitted the project to the Cultural Development Fund at the Egyptian Ministry of Culture on the basis that it is a cultural development aimed at serving cinema learners and developing their talents in the Arab world. I remained in contact with the fund until the school was approved by a decision of the Minister of Culture in July 2001, funded by the Development Fund, and the inauguration was practically in October 2001 by Mrs. Suzan Mubarak, and the school now employs seven workers."

I suspect the rest is also a copyvio of the various sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DGG (talkcontribs) 04:12, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I suspect a lot of the copyvio issue relate to quotes by the subject; quite a number of the sources include interviews. Obviously no attempt was made to quote properly, and their may also have been copyvio material that did not relate to quotes. So I suspect at least some of the issues could have been addressed by quoting. Djm-leighpark (talk) 08:53, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

De-orphaning

[edit]

The Saleh source inidcates the subject is a relative of Salah Abu Seif and re-orphaning can be achieved by adding a line from his article. Djm-leighpark (talk) 08:53, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Arab School of Cinema

[edit]

Al Sabban's main project appears to be the Arab School of Cinema, for which she appears to be the founder and main person of significant interest, and it is significantly interwoven with her life. While content about the school was previously removed I intent to be re-introducing integrated content about the school at this article and a re-direct may be reasonable. I am unconvinced both Mona Al Sabban and the school are worthy of two separate articles. The school gathers, assembles and produces its own teaching materials so it is in some ways a little more than a basic "school" in some senses. Djm-leighpark (talk) 08:53, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Return to mainspace

[edit]

The article has been re-worked to be more descriptive and in my view is ready for a WP:BOLD move to mainspace, also because my time resource is limited. I am relying on google-translate for most of the sources, which are generally OK but sometimes a little meaning can be lost in the translate at time. But this is now best back in mainspace for development rather than death by G13. To be clear I object to re-draftication so any major issues should be via AfD/DRV. (Courtesy ping to DGG). Thankyou. 22:11, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
