Accuracy

[edit]

This article is not particularly accurate, as the “youth courts” are, basically just the District Court judges acting in the capacity of Youth Court, there are no separate courtrooms or judges. The Montana Youth Court act has also changed repeatedly over the years. It’s complex, but Title 41, chapter 5 of the MCA covers it. “In each multijudge judicial district the judges shall, by court rule, designate one or more of their number to act as youth court judge in each county in the judicial district for a fixed period of time. Service as youth court judge may be rotated among the different judges of the judicial district and among the individual counties within the judicial district for given periods of time.” My on-wiki time has been limited lately, but I’d be willing to lend a small bit of help here. Please help! This article needs the attention of someone much better-versed in the law, and with more access to legal sources, than I. (No Wiki article "belongs" to me, and no one will hurt my feelings editing it.) - Tim1965 (talk) 13:19, 20 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I did a little bit of work on it, emailed you some other stuff. I am not spending a lot of time on-wiki at the moment, and much of that will be dedicated to staying alive in the wikicup! But I’ll watch the article and fix anything that looks like it is getting wonky. Montanabw(talk) 01:33, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
