Merge with article on History of music in Paris?

[edit]

I have been working on an article on the History of music in Paris which is somewhat longer and more detailed than this article, though it covers much of the same territory. I was thinking that it might make more sense to merge my article into this one. Does anyone have comments or thoughts on this? Cordially, SiefkinDR (talk) 17:27, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The thought had crossed my mind, but I would have to read both in depth before choosing which should be incorporated into which. Right now, I think the title History of music in Paris would be better, as it has the word "history" in it, which it is, and which is more in the style of an encyclopedia, while "Music in Paris" is kind of vague.

Thanks for your comment. The best solution may be to move the historical parts from this article to the article on the history of music in Paris, and making this article an overview of musical institutions, venues and styles in Paris today. SiefkinDR (talk) 08
