Proposed deletion[edit]

As the principal author of this article, I would prefer not to see it deleted. What might not be notable in some "world-historic" sense, might yet be notable in a particular field. Nancy Andrew was a Japanese-English translator. She was notable in her field in that she translated the (so far) only English-language edition of an important 20th-century Japanese novel. With the exception of this article, there is no information about her that is readily available to the public. When I began the article, I knew that it would appear marginal to people outside the fields of Japanese literature and Japanese-English translation. Perhaps the solution is either to merge the article "to" Almost Transparent Blue or simply to place an abbreviated version of it in the article about the novel. To do the latter will lose the editorial history, although I doubt that the full article would survive the merger. Comments? -- Cuppysfriend (talk) 23:01, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
