Prestige section
[edit]The Prestige section said "The KZNPO is considered to be the best philharmonic orchestra on the African continent and is designated as the national orchestra of the Republic of South Africa." The first claim should be easy to verify but I haven't found the evidence. The second is odd - there is certainly plenty of mention of KZNPO on gov.za but I can't find anything that says it's designated as the national orchestra. Surely this should be easy to find on there? As a precaution, for now I am being bold and removing the section, but I would be delighted to see it go back in with citations. I don't really think we can have a section dependent entirely on two uncited claims. Sadly, not even the orchestra's own site seems to back up these claims, which you would expect it to do. Move
[edit]I've just moved this from "Natal Philharmonic Orchestra" to "KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra". It had seemed odd that it still had the old name; I asked about moving it during the deletion proposal and was told that it was better not to move it during that but to wait till it was settled. I hope it's OK that I have moved it now? Thanks and best wishes DBaK (talk) 14:41, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
