Russia?

Did Russia had a chance to get hold of any of this model before the 1917 revolution? Without a specific reliable source this might be confusion with the very similar 24? -Soundofmusicals (talk) 00:52, 8 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, they got a (very) small number in 1917, alongside some SPAD VIIs, but the Russians also either misidentified at least some of their 27s as 24s (per photos in Russian Aviation Colours) or applied the changes that differentiated the 27s to their 24s, just to make life confusing. Imperial Russian Air Service — Famous Pilots and Aircraft of World War I makes a mention of one Russian pilot having flown the 27. - NiD.29 (talk) 22:46, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
