Any evidence/proof of/to this?!?

[edit]

"He was born and raised Lutheran". Is there any evidence or proof that Otto Binder was born and raised Lutheran? (120.149.112.245 (talk) 12:40, 15 December 2013 (UTC))[reply]

All I read and see is this

All I read and see on the internet is this... otto binder Jew of the Week www.jewoftheweek.net/tag/otto-binder/‎ (Look closely and you'll find Jewish themes in all of them. ... the greatest comic book writer of all time: Otto Binder, a poor Austrian-Jewish immigrant to America, ... 2011 » March Jew of the Week www.jewoftheweek.net/2011/03/‎ (Look closely and you'll find Jewish themes in all of them. ... the greatest comic book writer of all time: Otto Binder, a poor Austrian-Jewish immigrant to America, ... American Jews Jew of the Week www.jewoftheweek.net/tag/american-jews/page/30/‎ Carl Sagan (1934-1996) Born to Russian-Jewish immigrants in Brooklyn, Sagan ... writer of all time: Otto Binder, a poor Austrian-Jewish immigrant to America, ... This is more proof and evidence that Otto Binder was Jewish and NOT Lutheran!!! (120.149.112.245 (talk) 12:42, 15 December 2013 (UTC))[reply]

Jew of the Week is a personal blog, which are considered non-reliable sources unless published by a known, recognized authority on the subject, and disallowed as Wikipedia citation. Lutheran is cited to a published source. I would suggest looking up the published source and seeing specifically what is stated there. As this is not an online citation, the editor who added the cite should have quoted the printed source's statement in the footnote. --Tenebrae (talk) 18:09, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The article cited as the source for the statement that Mr. Binder was Lutheran, a photocopy of which is available online[1], contains no reference whatsoever as to his religion. I have edited the article, with citation to a published source[2], to indicate that he was indeed Jewish. TygerEyez (talk) 17:43, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Well according to author Bill Schelly. Mr. Otto Binder was indeed Lutheran. Raised by two Lutheran parents. I see nothing in your reference to notify that he was apart from a table. And it was a book that was published not a PDF like yours. Hey there I was the guy who edited the recent early life section of Otto Binder. Tenebrae was right! I hope I'm right too. Peace! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8004:1BC0:8A2B:A82A:1863:F5DA:115E (talk) 14:33, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Superman Returns to Krypton

[edit]

Otto Binder did not write it. DC has always attributed it in reprints as being scripted by Jerry Siegel. If E. Nelson Bridwell ever said that, he was clearly in error as it contradicts National Periodicals' (DC) own records. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.127.124.103 (talk) 12:16, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cannot find any justification for this in the article at a glance. Anyone know why this is in there? --Wikipedia Wonderful 698-D (talk) 09:15, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
