Pronunciation

[edit]

For the benefit of those who need to have audio disabled (and in the interests of accessibility), please could the pronunciation be given using IPA symbols, in addition to the audio files? Rhialto (talk) 07:06, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Census data on religion

[edit]

Religion in Awadh (2011)[1]

  Hindu (80.19%)
  Muslim (18.93%)
  Others (0.88%)

@Fylindfotberserk: In some edits on 16 March 2022, you added citations to two pre-existing pie charts, one for religion and one for language. Someone changed the data today and I tried to check the reference and found some problems. I have restored your version, but this does not fix the problems.

The URL has changed. The current URL is C-01: Population by religious community, Uttar Pradesh - 2011. This gives you a link to a download.

But when I looked at the Excel file, it shows area names in column F, but there is no Awadh. So how does the Excel file support the data in the chart?

I assume that the same issues apply to the languages chart.-- Toddy1 (talk) 06:35, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Toddy1: The version before I took a long break in 2021 [1] didn't have any such pie charts, possibly not added because Awadh is not an administrative region and doesn't get displayed in census as is, and is likely to get miss-interpreted. The pie-chart and census data were added by an IP here. After I returned back, I reverted deleted info (vandalism) as well as did some cleanup which included fixing up the URLs (including the census ones added by the IP above). IT is possible that the data is not correct since I didn't check it. I'd like to ping @C1MM: to look into the data as well. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:02, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
