Referring to UMNO[edit]

It's UMNO, not the UMNO. That's how UMNO members and the Malaysian media refer to it. Johnleemk | Talk 15:04, 18 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Why does this redirect here? PAP is not Singapore, and UMNO is not Malaysia. The political parties and countries are different, and thus should be kept different. Furthermore, the phrase "Malaysian Malaysia" is unique, with its own history — even today, anyone who uses it in Malaysia is immediately lambasted as a racist cut from the same cloth as Lee Kuan Yew. It deserves its own article. I would have created it immediately, but I thought I'd investigate why it redirects here instead of standing alone. Johnleemk | Talk 16:13, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Go ahead and create the article. My original intent was to create it as a subsection of this article that would later be branched off, the problem is I didn't think I had enough material to write about it at the time, and redirected it out of convenience. If the redirect is actually stopping constructive material being written, then make it an article. It was really my laziness, anyhow. Just curious, do you plan to have this as a stub, or as a full fledged article? (I'm also wondering whether it would qualify when created to be spotlighted in either of our countries' noticeboards). -- Natalinasmpf 00:14, 5 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Mmsia1.jpg[edit]

The image Image:Mmsia1.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --21:17, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
