DDT

[edit]

The DDT of the coast of the Palos Verdes Penininsula has been in the news lately because of a new report. See Waiting for the DDT tide to turn: Federal study shows that fish caught off L.A. County still contain the world's highest levels of the pesticide 35 years after it was banned. By Marla Cone, LA Times Staff Writer, and High DDT levels found off SoCal coast (AP). It should be mentioned in this article, and probably in the Los Angeles County, California article. BlankVerse 08:29, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There needs to be greater content on the demographics and basic geographic information on the page. Compared to the cities around Palos Verdes, there is substantially less information on the city. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brandonfu (talkcontribs) 20:19, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Some things to consider when reading this article

[edit]

Is each fact referenced with an appropriate, reliable reference? Is everything in the article relevant to the article topic? Is there anything that distracted you? Where does the information come from? Are these neutral sources? If biased, is that bias noted? Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented, or underrepresented? Check a few citations. Do the links work? Is there any close paraphrasing or plagiarism in the article? Is any information out of date? Is anything missing that could be added?

Source on if Shigeru Miyamoto ever lived in the United States?

[edit]

I’m glad if he did (living in the US myself), but we’re going to have to source that before adding it back in. 2600:8802:6604:3FC4:6D30:E822:44C:AC86 (talk) 07:53, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Landslides

[edit]

Significant areas, ~700 acres in only one of several slide areas, of the peninsula appear to have land movement that is significant enough to threaten homes. And the movement has increased perhaps due to heavy rainfall in the last few years.
