Photo of statue is Parley P. Pratt
[edit]An IP editor recently removed the lead image, a picture of a staute of Parley P. Pratt at the mouth of Parley's canyon, and replaced it with a duplicate copy of an image of the freeway (the other copy is just a few inches down in the aritcle). I am reverting for the following reasons:
- As stated the image is a duplicate
- Despite the claim in the comments that this statue is of Orson, not Parley Pratt, a quick Google search provided reliable links that confirm the statue is indeed of Parley P. Pratt. The first two hits:
Both of these articles (one is by a historical society that claims to have funded the statue) quote the artist who built the statue. If this artist was confused, that's fine, but the author needs to make that case to the historical society who funded the statue and maintains it's Parley. Dave (talk) 19:45, 21 October 2018 (UTC)
Wildlife overpass
[edit]I looked for an article which covers the wildlife overpass in Parleys Canyon over I-80. Should it be mentioned in this article? See snippets from the webcam here. —EncMstr (talk) 17:18, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
- While once rare, Wildlife overpasses are now becoming fairly common. I'd say its worth a mention. I wouldn't go overboard and add a new level 2 heading and paragraphs of content for it, as again they aren't that rare anymore, but I would say that one has been installed in the canyon is worthy of at least a couple of sentences.
