I've made a start on this. I want to start the other three tonight so I'll leave Ó Doirnín for now. If the great Pádraigín Ní Uallacháin is on Wikipedia maybe she can add to and correct, if necessary, what I've written. Failing that, I'd really appreciate corrections and additions to these articles. Thanks. PS: I can't believe there is no Wikipedia article on the Hedgeschools. Another days work, alas! Note a number of scholars are of the opinion that poems have been attributed to Ó Doirnín that were NOT written by him. It is thought, for instance, that Nioclás Ó Cearnaigh (1802-) wrote some of these (including 'Mná na hÉireann'), but gave the credit to the well-known Ó Doirnín in order to have them published. I intend to add a page for Ó Cearnaigh who is a controversial figure, who nevertheless, did a lot of work in the field of Gaelic scholarship when it wasn't profitable or popular.
