Exorbitant Cost?
[edit]How come this minor upgrade cost 180 million dollars?
- "The Point Defiance Bypass project includes the new Amtrak passenger train station, 14.5 miles of new and upgraded track, and five reconstructed at-grade crossings - each with advanced warning and signal systems."
The station was $10 million, and if we gratuitously estimate each kilometre and each crossing at a $1 million each, that still 'only' would cost $39 million. 187.143.35.182 (talk) 06:10, 24 December 2017 (UTC) baden k.
Official name
[edit]It appears that Sound Transit changed the name from Lakeview Subdivision to Lakewood Subdivision at some point. It definitely used to be Lakeview ([1], [2], [3]), but Sound Transit ([4], [5]), WSDOT ([6]), and industry publications ([7]) now all call it the Lakewood Subdivision. - Thanks for looking it up. I'll keep searching around the mangled archives on ST's website to find out when they shifted to calling it the Lakewood Sub, but I had been confused because it was always Lakeview in pre-2017 coverage. SounderBruce 05:38, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
