In the recent Church History, the "New Evangelization" is a complex reality. It is therefore important to create an independent article about it. QUESTION: how is it possible? Title

I move that the original title, "Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization", should be restored. It is how the English translation of the law that established the dicastery appears on the Vatican website, and the law, Ubicumque et semper, should govern, over and against any description on the dicastery's webpage. Ubicumque et semper Article 1:

§1. The Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization is established as a Dicastery of the Roman Curia in compliance with the Apostolic Constitution Pastor Bonus.

Latin does not have a definite article ("the"), so the original text is open to legitimate interpretation by translators. In fact, the Latin title of the dicastery, "Pontificium Consilium de Nova Evangelizatione", uses the preposition "de", from which "for Promoting the" is rendered, while the normal usage of de would render something along the lines of "concerning". However, seeing as the translation appearing on the Holy See website has rendered "de" as "for Promoting the", I think that we should as well. As a side note, I also think that it sounds more idiomatically correct in common English usage, but that is a side note. In all things, the law should govern. @CanonLawJunkie: yes, about de, it does not map precisely. It appears both way on official websites – with and without the. Sure, revert it but a redirect is needed from the alternative for improved search. –BoBoMisiu (talk) 19:02, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
