Great start

[edit]

This looks good as is and I would support moving it out of userspace as is, it's already article quality in my view. Some nits:

  • The lede should mention what (at least briefly) the cogent objections were.
  • If some of the other supporters were prominent, mentioning them too is helpful.
  • Do you know of any relevant images? I don't offhand.

Really nice work. Consider a Did you know? submission... ++Lar: t/c 15:24, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

and the relevant project boxes.... WP:Spaceflight seems a clear fit, there may be other more specialised ones. See Talk:Apollo program header for some possible useful code to add once this is in article space (don't add project boxes or other things like that while in sandbox, it throws things off a bit, IIRC) Sample code below with my suggested ratings.
{{WikiProject banner shell|1=
{{WikiProject Spaceflight|class=B
<!-- B-Class checklist -->
 |b1 <!--Referencing & citations--> = yes
 |b2 <!--Coverage & accuracy    --> = yes
 |b3 <!--Structure              --> = yes
 |b4 <!--Grammar & style        --> = yes
 |b5 <!--Supporting materials   --> = yes
 |b6 <!--Accessibility          --> = yes
|importance=Top|HSF=yes|HSF-importance=low}}
{{WikiProject Astronomy|class=B |importance=low}}
{{WikiProject United States|class=B |importance=low}}
}}
.. if you use it, edit this section to get the formatting to be easily readable and leave the source tags off++Lar: t/c 16:14, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Cleaning up page history

[edit]

Hi Rich Farmbrough, because you published this from Anobium625's sandbox by moving, rather than a copy-paste move, this article has the full history of Constance Savery up to the point that article was submitted. Is there a way to clear that up? Probably not that important, but it looks a little weird. (Anobium625, you might consider userspace drafts or draftspace (e.g. Draft:Committee for the Future) rather than your sandbox. Either that or as with Constance Savery, draft in your sandbox then copy-paste elsewhere before publishing to wipe the history. Great work on the article!) › Mortee talk 14:18, 28 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like WP:HISTMERGE is the fix, which needs an admin. I'll put in the request unless anyone objects. (The top of that page talks about cut-and-paste moves being bad; I don't think that applies when moving from your sandbox out because all the editing is attributable to you anyway. The new article just shows as if you'd written it in one big go. It's a problem for mainspace articles) › Mortee talk 14:28, 28 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for taking care of that. All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 17:40, 29 August 2018 (UTC).[reply]
I'm an admin but rusty. If on one else steps up to do it, I can try but it has been a LONG time since I did a Histmerge or split. ++Lar: t/c 20:48, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Lar! I waited a bit because I wasn't sure how to request it properly, but gave it a go here and it was done soon after. › Mortee talk 22:32, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Mortee that's a relief to hear! I spent a little time reading about how to do it, and my head was spinning, although I know I did it multiple times a decade back. ++Lar: t/c 17:05, 1 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
