YouTube link?

[edit]

Is it allowable to put a YouTube link to this commercial somewhere in the article? (For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wPdr0tgVnQ) Or would that be a violation of copyright? Grammarian3.14159265359 (talk) 09:34, 9 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't think so as long as you stick it in as an External link. Also don't use that link (since that was uploaded by a random user, not by Mountain Dew), use this instead: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ql7uY36-LwA) as this was published by Mountain Dew. Strong reasons for the article?

[edit]

Please don't be offended as the creator of the article, but this strikes me as being very WP:RECENT. In a year or two, if the ad campaign is still around and has some lasting cultural impact (say, if the thing spreads to becoming a character in a comic book, etc.), it might be worth talking about. Till then there is no rush and everything said here can be adequately covered on the Mountain Dew page which has a section for this campaign. I'm thinking it's premature to have this up now. A picture seems crucial

[edit]

The article is lacking without one. Are there legal issues? Equinox 15:29, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

has anyone figured out why there is no actual picture of puppymonkeybaby? Its more than bizzare that this article instead features a picture of three separate creatures and not the glorious creature itself: https://helios-i.mashable.com/imagery/articles/06c4JzIvGMckXO3jN1CmlgD/hero-image.fill.size_1200x1200.v1611607131.jpg 100.1.220.129 (talk) 16:36, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The Wikipedia is rather restricted in what it can and cannot use for images. See WP:NONFREE. ValarianB (talk) 13:45, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Original YouTube ad may be deleted.

[edit]

I tried to search for the original ad posted on YouTube and I noticed I couldn't find it. It may have been deleted or hidden from the Youtube channel. Should this mentioned in the article if we could find a source stating this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.51.225.2 (talk) 15:17, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
