Fair use rationale for Image:Pure Prairie League 1st Cover.jpg
[edit]Image:Pure Prairie League 1st Cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:04, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
The link for Aimie needs to be edited or removed. It currently points to a disambiguation page which mentions the song. If there is an article for the song, then the link needs to point to that article. Otherwise it should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.189.142.149 (talk) 02:26, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
(sixty miles north of Waverly)
[edit]Do we really need to be told that some place is "sixty miles north of Waverly"? If we want to know we could look at a map. This is very shoddy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.79.62.16 (talk) 16:01, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Article issues
[edit]The issues the article has are that the members are not listed in the infobox, there is no discography for the singles, and the article needs to be re-sectioned and generally cleaned up. Also, there are no sources cited at all. Beeblebrox (talk) 01:35, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- I noticed you recently tagged this with needing issues. Here's an automatic peer review that the editors here may find helpful.
- Please expand the lead to conform with guidelines at Wikipedia:Lead. The article should have an appropriate number of paragraphs as is shown on WP:LEAD, and should adequately summarize the article.[?]
- Per Wikipedia:Context and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (dates), months and days of the week generally should not be linked. Years, decades, and centuries can be linked if they provide context for the article.[?]
- This article has no or few images. Please see if there are any free use images that fall under the Wikipedia:Image use policy and fit under one of the Wikipedia:Image copyright tags that can be uploaded. To upload images on Wikipedia, go to Special:Upload; to upload non-fair use images on the Wikimedia Commons, go to commons:special:upload.[?]
- This article is a bit too short, and therefore may not be as comprehensive as WP:WIAFA critera 1(b) is looking for. Please see if anything can be expanded upon.[?]
- The script has spotted the following contractions: Can't, if these are outside of quotations, they should be expanded.
- This article needs footnotes, preferably in the cite.php format recommended by WP:WIAFA. Simply, enclose inline citations, with WP:CITE or WP:CITE/ES information, with <ref>THE FOOTNOTE</ref>. At the bottom of the article, in a section named “References” or “Footnotes”, add {{reflist}}.[?]
- The article will need references. See WP:CITE and WP:V for more information.[?]
- Please ensure that the article has gone through a thorough copyediting so that it exemplifies some of Wikipedia's best work. See also User:Tony1/How to satisfy Criterion 1a.[?]
