[edit]

The article on Queen Cheol-in presents this problem: the only information about her, aside from the opening description and her dates of birth and death, is contained in a mere two sentences. ("She was the daughter of Kim Mun-geun (김문근) and Lady Min. As part of the Andong Kim clan's manipulation of King Cheoljong, she married Cheoljong in 1851." and "Queen Cheolin, the queen consort of Cheoljong and a member of the Andong Kim clan, claimed the right to choose the next king, although traditionally, the eldest queen dowager is the one with the authority to select the new king." The rest of the article is about the Dowager Queen Sinjeong, who does not even have her own page. The content here would belong on her page, and Cheol-in deserves only the three or four remaining sentences that are actually about her. MilesFowler (talk) 05:03, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Posthumous Name

[edit]

The "Jang (章)" in her posthumous name "Empress Cheorin Jang" (철인장황후, 哲仁章皇后) represents a virtue of her. There could be multiple explainations (温克令仪曰章/法度明大曰章/出言有文曰章/敬慎高亢曰章/文教远耀曰章) according to Yi Zhou Shu, English wiki translates one of them as "Those who are kind and able to exceed (温克令仪) are called "Manifesting" (章 zhāng)". It might need to be noted somewhere that "Jang" does not change her clan name. Zhimothedude (talk) 20:38, 25 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
