Queensway Signage
[edit]The article contended that "all government signage indicating Queensway has been removed over the years and replaced with 417 signs", but such signs do still exist. The giant Nicholas entrance ramp signs are a good example. I do not know if such signs are MTO signs, but they certainly seem to be based on their appearance and location on the entrance ramp. I changed the article to reflect this. If I am wrong, and these signs are not MTO signs, perhaps a clarification could be made in the article, since there are definitely still lots of municipal signs indicating "Queensway". --24.200.34.209 12:24, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Island Park Overpass
[edit]It should be mentionned that the company that did the lifting and moving of the old and new bridges was the Dutch heavy-lifting specialists Mammoet. Also, the Clyde overpass was replaced with the same method, by the same company, in Summer 2008. -M.Nelson (talk) 22:46, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
THE SPLIT
[edit]The term split is poorly defined and overused over the course of the article. The entire documents needs to be revised. M.Johnson —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.246.105.80 (talk) 03:58, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
- added two cites to show local usage. Alaney2k (talk) 14:27, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
'Inside the Queensway'
[edit]I don't know who added this nonsense, but I have lived in Ottawa all my life and have never heard this phrase used. 205.194.127.36 (talk) 17:41, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Merge thoughts (with Highway 417)
[edit]I've been thinking that rather than writing two articles, it may make more sense to incorporate one into the other. I 'll be rewriting Ontario Highway 417 soon, and its early history will cover the Greber plan and the Queensway, probably in far more detail than this article. Even though technically, the Queensway was built first, then 417 attached to it, the segment that is part of Regional Road 174 (also has its own article) is rather short and hardly focused upon in this article anyways.
So, any thoughts? Any opposition to me doing this once the rewrite is significantly completed? - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 20:47, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
